“Nazywam się Paweł Adamowicz, mam zaszczyt być prezydentem mojego ukochanego Gdańska, miasta wolności i solidarności” - tak przedstawiał siebie prezydent Gdańska na swojej oficjalnej stronie internetowej. Niespełna dwa miesiące temu rozpoczął szóstą kadencję na stanowisku prezydenta Gdańska.

W niedzielę 13 stycznia 2019 r., zginął, zamordowany podczas finału Wielkiej Orkiestry Świątecznej Pomocy przez uzbrojonego w nóż mężczyznę. Paweł Adamowicz miał 54 lata, rozpoczynał 21 rok na stanowisku prezydenta miasta Gdańska. Osierocił dwie córki i żonę Magdalenę.

W terminie 30 stycznia - 3 lutego br. w Gdańsku odbędą się Eliminacje Mistrzostw Świata Kobiet 2019. Impreza odbędzie się zgodnie z zaplanowanym wcześniej harmonogramem. Decyzji co do upamiętnienia ś.p. Prezydenta Pawła Adamowicza jeszcze nie podjęto.

On Sunday, January 13, 2019, he was killed, murdered during the finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity by a man with a knife. Paweł Adamowicz was 54 years old, he began 21 years as the president of the city of Gdansk. He orphaned two daughters and a wife, Magdalena.

January 30 - February 3 in Gdansk there will be the World Floorball Championships Qualifications. The event will take place in accordance with the previously planned schedule. Decisions regarding the commemoration of President Paweł Adamowicz has not yet been adopted.
